Downtown St. George
Best for: visitors who want restaurants, shops and evening activities within walking distance or a very short drive. Downtown suits short stays, couples and travelers who'd rather walk to dinner than drive. The tradeoff is less space and more activity around your lodging.
Washington
Best for: groups who want room to spread out and a base between east and west. Washington sits on I-15 between St. George and Hurricane, so Zion's South Entrance (about 33 miles from Isle 64), Sand Hollow (about 10 miles) and downtown St. George (about 10 miles) are all manageable.
